30 Day Challenge,  5K Training

30 Day Challenge – Day 19

One of the big reasons for doing this challenge was to incorporate things that I enjoy and that are fun into my life far more than they were prior. Sorry if you are getting tired of it, but climbing was one of those things that was easy to incorporate into my life several times a week and is enjoyable. For a bonus, it serves as my workout 2-3 times a week and allows me to work on trusting that when I fall, someone or something will catch me. So, while it might seem a bit repetitive, the only way to form a habit is to do the habit regularly. I am trying to form a habit, hence this challenge, and so I am doing things regularly.

And just in case you thought I was kidding about this whole falling thing, here is a picture of me falling. I think this was the time that I wound up flat on my butt because my legs forgot how to work to catch me from 5 feet in the air.

I said the other day that Georgia (she’s my roommate if you missed that) wants to start training for a 5K and that I was going to train with her. I think today starts Day 1 of the 5K training so I will check back in with y’all in a while to let you know how it is going. I am either going to love or absolutely hate running by June.
